Lighting manufacturer, Day-O-Lite, is looking for a Welder to join our team who has 1-2 years of work experience as a MIG welder, preferably in a manufacturing environment. When welding is not required for a job, the fabricator will be expected to work in another area of the fabrication department as needed. Because of this, candidate must be willing to be cross-trained in an additional skill such as operating a press-brake machine, spray painting, or as an assembler. In addition, the candidate must read and understand drawings and production instructions in English, and perform quality inspection.

This is a full-time, permanent position. Hours are Monday through Friday from 8AM-4:30PM. Our summer hours, beginning June 1st and until September 1st, are Monday through Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM. Overtime opportunities will be available. Our factory workforce is part of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers union.

Requirements:

1-2 years of MIG welding experience.

Experience in a manufacturing environment.

Experience working with sheet metal.

Ability to read blueprints.

Ability to read production instructions in English.

Quality inspection and attention to detail.

Cross-training

GED, High School Diploma or equivalent.

Exposure to lean manufacturing principles or Lean Six Sigma a plus.

Ability to operate machinery to bend and form metal a plus.

$19.00
