WeldStream LLC, is looking to fill an immediate opening for an experienced Handrail/Stair Fabricator – Welder

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following

Must be able to pass the welding test provided prior to entering this position.

Must be able to read drawings and perform the tasks assigned.

Fit and weld parts to form complete assemblies, following weld specifications, and using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools.

Verify conformance of workpieces to specifications, using squares, rulers, measuring tapes, and gauges.

Align and weld parts together according to specifications by using jacks, turnbuckles, wedges, drift pins, pry bars, and hammers.

Position or tighten braces, jacks, clamps, ropes, or bolt straps, or bolt parts in position for welding.

Move parts into position, manually or with hoists or cranes.

Other Responsibilities:

Communicate job status to Manager per job assigned

Prepare work to be accomplished by studying shop drawings and parts lists; gathering materials and tools.

Able to read and recognize weld symbols on supplied drawings or documents and pass an assessment for weld joints and symbols

Able to apply an acceptable weld according to specifications provided

Tag and identify finished product per job, quantities, locations, etc. per the production documentation.

Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year

Ballston Spa, NY 12020: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
