OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:

Perform and / or assist in departmental fit up activities as directed by departmental foreman on VEO BOILER systems.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under supervision, assist in the planned daily activities.

Participate in pre/post-planned readiness of parts and tools, for planned fit up or welding activities.

Complete understanding of departmental operating procedures as well as job task procedures.

Understanding and compliance of ASME code if applicable to job task (EX: PREHEATING OF DRUM COMPONENTS).

If Fitter, may train and lead with routine departmental activities.

If Welder, may train and lead with routine departmental activities.

If applicable, job scope to encompass welding in the following processes if directed by departmental foreman (FCAW,GMAW).

Proficient in blueprint interpretation.

Participate in Operational Excellence teams.

Responsible for quality and continuous improvement within job scope.

Responsible for all actions/responsibilities as required by the departmental foreman.

OTHER JOB DUTIES:

Perform other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to follow written and oral instructions
.

Three (3) years of manufacturing experience.

Mathematically inclined.

Ability to interpret and utilize measuring devices.

Able to attend training courses as assigned.

Ability to work any shift.

Pay: $18.00 – $30.00 per hour
