Michigan Trailer Sales manufacturers a full lineup of utility, car hauler, equipment, and flatbed bumper pull/gooseneck trailers. Trailer Sales of Michigan manufactures the product and retails directly to the public with all sales handled on site. It is a relatively small location with 10-12 employees that make up our Welding, Painting, Decking/Wiring & Sales Departments.
We are seeking a welding lead for the weld department located in Jackson, MI. This is a hands-on welding position. Working within the weld shop as a welder/fabricator and leading the team by example.
The Welding lead will be required to work M-F, 1st shift schedule and ½ day Saturday as needed. The desired candidate must be committed to excellence, great work ethic, effective Leader of people and processes, dedicated to achieving success and work well under pressure.
Responsibilities/Requirements:
Become knowledgeable of all products produced. Understand the production process & material usage. Must have a great work ethic and the ability to retain information.
The welding lead is responsible for building & retaining team members while enforcing company policies and meeting the production requirements each week.
There will be 4 welders that report directly to the welding lead.

Pay: $52,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
