Heavy Steel Fabrication Company is now seeking a qualified candidate to join our team!
In business since 1962, Metal Trades, Inc. (MTI) is a highly capable heavy steel fabricator and shipyard located approximately 18 miles south of Charleston, South Carolina.

Heavy Steel Fabrication * Heavy Steel Components as an OEM supplier * Barge & Vessel Construction * Power Transformer Tanks * Ship Repair * Large Pressure Vessels and Tanks Built to Section VIII of the ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code
For over 100 customers, Metal Trades Inc. has been a key source for build to print steel fabrications requiring skilled craftsman and certified welders of all types of steel. Past projects have included both small and large industrial components (some in excess of well over 100 tons), military vehicle components, and custom built barges.

Description: Tool Room Attendant III

Issues, receives, and stores hand tools and other equipment. Keeps an inventory of tools, inspects tools and equipment for wear or defects, and orders new equipment when needed. Maintains records of tool issue and use computerized tooling software. May repair small tooling and equipment. Mechanical experience a plus. Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Must have computer experience.

Supervision:
Works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Education:

May require a high school diploma or its equivalent and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Working hours are Monday thru Thursday 5:30AM to 4:30PM. Must be able to work OT if needed. Metal Trades offers a competitive benefit package!

Working conditions:
