S.R. Smith, LLC is a manufacturer of pool deck equipment located in Portland, TN. We manufacture stainless steel handrails and ladders, starting blocks, lifeguard stands and diving boards.

The primary function of this position is to pre-fabricate and weld various components of our product line to meet company standards.

Duties

Operates a variety of power equipment such as drilling machine, grinders, sanders, metal cut-off saws etc.

Operates scanning equipment to track movement of inventory of raw and welded materials

Notifies department supervisor with regard to any maintenance needs for equipment

Works from schedule provided by department supervisor (scheduled activities may be changed periodically during the shift depending on component need)

Follows all safety rules and policies to include wearing appropriate PPE for job being performed; Understands accountability for unsafe behaviors and acts; Reports all unsafe conditions to department supervisor immediately

Cuts piece parts for part numbers which make up final welded component

Operates scanning device to track inventory of materials being processed

Maintains a clean work area throughout the shift

Qualifications

High school or GED preferred but not mandatory

Graduation from a certified welding trade school preferred

1 to 3 years of verifiable welding experience (MIG and TIG)

Employment is reliant on passing a post-offer, pre-employment drug screen
