Tank Welder Fabricator

Diamond Steel Co is looking for qualified, hardworking candidates for the position of Tank Welder Fabricator. Diamond Steel prides itself on providing customers with high-quality machinery, so we require that our employees perform all tasks with quality in mind. Candidates will be required to perform a welding test to show their welding ability. Qualified candidates will have experience reading blue prints. Fabrication experience required. Training will be provided for the specific tasks required to build our equipment.
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for manufacturing duties including, but not limited to, welding, fabrication, and assembly of all truck related jobs and processes. The Tank Welder Fabricator is responsible for the assembly of water tanks and trucks.
Duties Include:
Welding stainless steel and black iron.
Fabricating water truck tanks including setting head and baffles, welding seams inside and outside of the tank, and assembling plumbing.
Candidates must be willing and able to work and weld inside tanks ranging in size from 1,000 to 5,000 gallons. Proper ventilation and personal protection equipment is provided and utilized.
Assist with installing the tank on the chassis.
Fabricating parts and using machinery as directed.
Fabricating equipment based on blueprints.
Weld and fabricate paving equipment parts as assigned when time permits.
Report needs for supplies or inventory materials.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
All other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
At least 3 year of welding experience using MIG.
At least 2 years of fabrication experience.
Must be able to read blue prints.
Ability to produce high quality work while meeting deadlines.
Must be able to pass a welding test administered by shop foreman.
Understanding of basic safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.
Consistent attendance.
Knowledge of equipment and tools.

Pay: $19.00 – $22.00 per hour
