Structural Fitter(s) / Shipfitter(s) – long term work, large scale project

C.A. Jones is now hiring structural fitters / shipfitters for long term, national defense work underway at Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, MS. Since 1938, the workforce at Ingalls has helped our nation by constructing nearly 70 percent of our Navy’s fleet of ships.
Per Diem is available for qualified non-local personnel. Applicants must be able to pass a background investigation and hair follicle drug screen prior to job start. Applicants should have a minimum of (3) years of work experience as a fitter in a commercial industrial, or marine industrial environment.
STRUCTURAL FITTER / SHIPFITTER

$28.19 to $29.19 /hr (depending on shift)
Read and interpret blueprints utilizing both metric and standard measurements
Knowledge of the layout, fit-up and fabrication of steel plate and beam.
Experience with various trade specific tools such as: hand torch, hydraulic and ratchet jacks, levels, grinders, squares, metric and standard tape measures and plumb equipment.
Flux core and Stick tacking
