Job Description

The Steel Fabricator is responsible for welding and fabrication of structural steel based on detailed plans for construction and industrial applications.
Essential Functions

Operate fabrication shop machinery and equipment
Read and execute cut-sheets
Read detailed fabrication plans
Accurately measure work-piece dimensions based on drawing specifications
Maintain drawing specified quality levels
Properly complete paperwork when job complete
Perform related duties as assigned by supervisors
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 18 years of age
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Able to pass a welder qualification test
Physical ability to meet job requirements
Ability to read, interpret drawings, instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
Math skills required: using whole numbers, fractions (add & subtract), & decimals
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Fabrication job with lifting, standing for long periods, walking, bending, reaching over your head, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.
