Steel Fabricator/Welder, Quality Control, Forklift, & Paint

Lundahl Ironworks Company is growing at a steady pace and is opening a new, state-of-the-art fabrication facility in Logan, Utah, in addition to its current fabrication facility in Franklin, Idaho. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

Quality Control
Ability to read a tape measure, Computer skills- knowledge of basic applications and the ability to navigate them, Detail oriented, Ability to communicate & work well with others, AWS CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) is preferred but not required, Ability to inspect and measure products to verify conformance to specifications, Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs on occasion, Ability to work with shop drawings, Ability to work 10-12 hr shifts 5 days/week plus occasional Saturdays.
Fitter/Welder
Ability to read & understand blueprints, Knowledge of steel shapes, Layout & fit-up beams & columns, Ability to learn and pass a weld test, Knowledge of “Welding Procedures,” Weld out beams & columns, Weld complete penetrating joints (CJP), Arc back gouge CJPs, Proper use of overhead cranes and rigging.
2 Yrs experience, Ability to lift 50lbs, Will be on your feet 10 hours/day, Proficient with tape measures, hand & power tools.
Schedule: 10 hrs/day, Monday-Friday and occasional Saturdays
Handrail Fitter
Ability to read & understand Handrail blueprints, Knowledge of steel shapes, Layout & fit-up of pipe and tube steel rails, Ability to learn and pass a weld test, Knowledge of “Welding Procedures,” Weld out and clean up handrail and guardrail, Use of cold saws, pipe copers and benders, Proper use of overhead cranes and rigging.
2 Yrs experience, Ability to lift 50lbs, Will be on your feet 10 hours/day, Proficient with tape measures, hand & power tools.
Schedule: 10 hrs/day, Monday-Friday and occasional Saturdays
Plate & Clip
Ability to read & understand blueprints, Knowledge of steel shapes, Operate various types of fabrication machinery for the production of steel parts, Occasionally operate forklifts, Proper use of overhead cranes and rigging.
2 Yrs experience, Ability to lift 50lbs, Will be on your feet 10 hours/day, Proficient with tape measures, hand & power tools.
Schedule: 10 hrs/day, Monday-Friday and occasional Saturdays
Forklift / Shipping
Maintain a clean & organized work/staging area, Perform daily inspections of equipment with proper notification of repairs or maintenance needed to supervisor or maintenance personnel, Identify & report any damage/shortage to product, Confirm inbound and outbound shipments via piece counts and scanning material with handheld scanners, locate and stage material for safe transport.
1 Yr experience, Ability to lift 50lbs on a regular basis, Valid certification to operate powered industrial machinery with ease, Ability to work in hot/cold weather, Ability to communicate and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented atmosphere
Schedule: 10 hrs/day, Monday-Friday and occasional Saturdays
Paint
Prepare surfaces for coating applications using rags to wipe down, hand tools, power tools, and blasting equipment, Knowledge of priming materials and how to select, safely mix and apply them.
Ability to lift 50lbs, Will be on your feet 10 hours/day, Proficient with hand & power tools.
Schedule: 10 hrs/day, Monday-Friday and occasional Saturdays
