The Port of Toledo in Toledo, Oregon is seeking a Shipyard Marine Welder/Fabricator to become a part of our growing team

$23-$32/hour depending on experience + benefits

Summary of Duties & Responsibilities:
To perform high quality repair and upgrades to vessels. Duties include welding, fabrication, and other duties as assigned.

Experience, Knowledge, and Abilities Preferred:

2 – 3 yrs. experience in welding and fabricating, shipyard experience preferred

Stick, MIG, and Dual Shield experience REQUIRED

Stainless and Aluminum welding

Pipefitting experience

Ability to work overtime and have a flexible work schedule

Able to lift 50 pounds regularly and 100 pounds occasionally

Must be comfortable working from ladders, scaffolding, and man lifts

Heavy equipment operations

Basic equipment maintenance and repair skills

Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations and Environmental Compliance

Oregon Driver’s License

Other:

Will need to work in inclement weather

Able to maintain confidentiality

Knowledge of Port of Toledo rules, regulations, and procedures pertaining to general Port and harbor operations

Must comply with policies and procedures set forth in the Port of Toledo Personnel Manual

Must be able to pass a drug test

Maintain a professional relationship toward

General public

Sport and commercial fisherman

Contractors and vendors

Law Enforcement and regulatory agencies
