POSITION SUMMARY
Pearce Services is seeking an expert-level
Metal & Welding Fabrication
professional to join our team. This is a job that is best suited for individuals who are self-starting, self-supervised, highly motivated, willing to travel, and looking to grow at a dynamic company. The responsibilities of the Welder / Fabricator position include fitting and joining, fabricating, and repairing metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques in accordance with specifications and production schedules.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Custom fabrication and repair of metal parts onsite
Responding to service calls in a timely manner with the normal job averaging 2-4 days
Heavy travel involved, must be willing to travel 1-2 weeks at a time
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENT
8+ years of welding experience
5+ years of automotive bodywork and painting (preferred)
Highly skilled in sheet metal repair work
Must be thoroughly familiar with welding equipment such as torches, torch tips, filler rods, flux, hoses, valves, and gas cylinders
Willingness to telecommute as necessary – upwards to 1-2 weeks at a time
Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and written
Demonstrated willingness to work with others in a team environment
Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Ability to work outdoors (tented)
Ability to lift over 50 pounds
Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, squat, sit, walk, and climb for extended periods of time
Must have unimpaired hearing
