PRODUCTION PLANNER

 Job Description

Responsible for the performance of a variety of duties related to manufacturing, sales, and inventory to support the operational needs of the company; heavy user of the company ERP system Macola; strong emphasis on being detail oriented and well organized.

Responsibilities Summary:

• Create and release daily/weekly/monthly production schedules and work orders while considering internal processing times, available capacity and manufacturing release quantities
• Review sales orders and evaluate for possible constraints
• Monitor and maintain material shortage reports and purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to master list; clarify any unclear items or discrepancies, recommend alternatives when appropriate
• Create BOM’s with engineering department support
• Create and update parts database
• Coordinate with inventory to determine product stocking levels

Qualifications:

• Strong Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP/MRP) skills
• Previous Experience Planning/Scheduling
• Manufacturing Exposure (required)
• Understand the impact of changes on workflow considering the needs of all departments
• Strong Excel skills
• Must be able to read mechanical drawings
• Excellent organizational skills
• Must be able to adapt to changing responsibilities and shifting gears
