Production Control Manager Fabrication

Ceres is looking for a Production Control Manager responsible for the successful operation of the production area by supervising shop personnel, planning, scheduling and monitoring work to minimize costs, maximizing quality and productivity, and ensuring safe work practices. The Production Control Manager also actively applies best welding and fabrication practices.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES
:
Plans and establishes detailed production schedules to meet current and future planning objectives. Follows up performance against estimates. Coordinates in conjunction with production and sales team to ensure most efficient means for manufacturing needed products and meeting customer requirements.
Works with production team and purchasing to establish inventory levels of all components and raw materials to support production schedules and research and development needs.
Organizes, prioritizes and coordinates all work in process in various sections of manufacturing for timely release of finished parts and products Coordinates delivery of all components to required destinations.
Develops and maintains effective business and personal relationships with internal and external customers, suppliers, and key vendors. This includes capital equipment providers and maintenance teams.
Improves department’s planning, policies and procedures in an ongoing effort to increase production, achieve schedule adherence and minimize total cycle times in support of efficient operation and maintain highest levels of quality. Including plans to improve equipment uptime.
Directs department’s personnel administration activities including job assignment, training, performance coaching and evaluation and compensation review. Coaches, motivates and directs staff in operational activities to ensure compliance with departmental goals, objectives and budget.
Develops an annual budget, providing justification when needed. Reviews and compares actual results to planned budgetary performance preparing reports reflecting those results.
