Durex Industries is currently seeking an individual to fill a Product Fabricator role that has basic knowledge of machining and the fabrication of metal components.

Responsibilities:

Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products

Install and repair various equipment and components

Follow blueprints to meet product specifications

Calculate material measurements to verify specifications

Form sheet metal using press breaks, rollers, sheer and other machines

Use Bridgeport and lathe to drill, bore and mill steel parts

The successful candidate will have the drive to learn new skills and improve their abilities in the following:

Bridgeport mill operation

Plasma cutting equipment operation

Metal forming and cutting equipment operation

Metal forming assembly

Blueprint reading

Spot welder operation

Waterjet cutting machine operation (Trained as a backup operator)

Qualifications:

Previous experience in plasma cutting, lathe, sheet metal forming, manufacturing, or other related fields

Familiarity with engineering blueprints and schematics

Ability to handle physical workload

Minimum 1 year experience in metal fabrication

Existing skills or exposure to use of a micrometer/caliper, basic mathematics, industrial equipment, or industrial manufacturing environment are extremely helpful.
