Aeromat Plastics, a family-owned plastics fabrication and machine shop is seeking a fabricator/welder to join its Burnsville office. This position will weld/fabricate products to customer specifications by utilizing plastic welding equipment and hand tools.

JOB DUTIES:

· Read, understand and perform from technical drawings/blueprints.

· Fit and assemble parts into complete or partial assembly when needed.

· Maintain and care for all shop tools, machines, and equipment.

· Maintain a clean and neat work area. Saw area should be cleaned daily after each use to ensure a safe work area.

· Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

· Previous welding experience, preferably with plastics.

· Experience in an industrial or mechanical company is preferred but not required.

· Proficiency with reading and comprehending blueprints.

· Ability to verbally communicate effectively.

· Accurate and detail oriented

· Strong mechanical ability.

· Strong mathematical aptitude.

· Experience using hand and power tools.

· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedures manuals.

· Self-motivated, demonstrating the ability to work consistently and productively under minimal supervision.

· Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

· Frequent sitting, standing, moving, carrying, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, turning, twisting are physical demands of this job.

· Ability to climb in and out of company owned vehicles, including tow motors, many times during the course of the day’s job.

· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WAREHOUSE EQUIPMENT:

· Personal computer/printer

· All saws in cutting/fab area

· Power and hand tools

· Ratchet straps, metal & plastic band

· Ladders

· Pallet jack & forklift
