Knowledge of: Paints, thinners, cleaning agents, and other materials utilized in the cleaning, painting, and finishing of parts related equipment; includes safety practices associated with the use of painting equipment; safety practices associated with the tools and work practices utilized to perform the primary duties; the methods of preparing different surfaces for painting, includes bare surfaces as well as previously painted surfaces; perform maintenance on equipment as required for primary duties; operate equipment associated with the performance of primary duties such as air compressors, high pressure air gun, sanders, painting equipment, and hand tools needed to perform primary duties with minimal supervision or technical direction; understand and follow oral and written directions; prepare reports of work performed as well logging in all daily work performed using a computer or tablet; establish and maintain an effective relationship with others; mixes, blends, and prepares paint and other coating systems for primary duties; perform physical labor.

Seeing to mix and match paint colors, climbing ladders, balancing, bending, pushing, lifting and moving objects weighing up to 25 pounds, standing for extended periods of time, reaching overhead and above the shoulders, and dexterity of hands and fingers to operate painting equipment and tools.
