Open Table Fabricator / Mig Welder

FABRICATOR/ MIG WELDER
We are hiring a skilled fabricator/mig welder with experience in open table fit up. The successful candidate must be organized and capable of running their own projects. We produce a unique and wide variety of fabrications both large and small from several industry sectors. We operate out of a clean 70,000 square foot facility and continuously invest in new equipment.
Position Summary Primary Responsibilities
Study and interpret assembly instructions, read and interpret complex blueprints and sketches, convert measurements, and alter dimensions to fit specifications when directed.
Responsible for assembling structural metal products using tools, machines and hands.
Fabricate, weld, and assemble structural metal products, verify specifications and determine if all parts are present
Operate powered industrial equipment – fabricating machines such as rolls, press brake, saw, etc. in accordance with OSHA guidelines and Huron’s safe operating procedures
Additional responsibilities:
Resolve assembly and production issues
Build prototypes and test products
Grind and Clean work pieces
Follow proper procedures for set up and maintenance of machines in the fab shop
Observe necessary safety precautions for fabrications, cutting and assembling.
Other duties as directed
Qualifications
REQUIRED
Experience
3+ years of MIG welding and metal fabrication, including open table fit up
Experience reading a variety of diagrams/prints from different companies. Must be able to fabricate per a wide variety of customer prints
Must pass pre-employment weld and fit up assessment
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required

Ability to work 6am-4pm, Monday through Friday, paid OT
