Summary: *

The Machinist is responsible for manufacturing and maintaining production equipment, developing tool paths for production and supporting the development of new equipment/tools.

Pay: $27.52 – $38.00/hr* based on relevant years of experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: *

Work with engineers, technicians, and operators on the development of new and existing Equipment/tooling providing guidance on best materials and best manufacturing practices.

Design/develop new tooling, and repair existing equipment utilizing appropriate materials with consideration for manufacturability.

Review of work to ensure errors do not result in: Serious injury to a graft recipient, Injury to an AlloSource technician, Regulatory non-compliance, Excess expense to the company.

Participate in special projects and support Operations activity on an as needed basis.

Participate in financial objectives and performance goals.

Adhere to and promote proper practices and techniques which are consistent with current operating procedures, training requirements, safety practices and company policies.

May perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements*:

Certification in machining technology, welding, or trade school equivalent

5 years’ experience with machine shop equipment and working knowledge with 1 or more of the following 2-axis mills, CNC mills, lathes, grinders and welders (TIG, MIG and spot)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Experience: *

Experience in an FDA regulated industry

Experience with MasterCam (or similar) programming

Experience in AutoCAD/Inventor, fabrication of medical processing equipment, and clean room experience
