Lead Welder/Fabricator

We are seeking a Lead Welder/Fabricator to join our team in the Fabrication shop.

Job duties include but not limited to:

Custom fabrication of drilling tools and trailers

Inspecting equipment and tooling for wear items

Welding repairs to tools and equipment

Oversee day to day operations in the Fabrication/Weld shop and Welder apprentice’s tasks

Lifting 75 pounds repeatedly throughout the workday

Responsible for inventory of all welding supplies and other items

Working overtime when necessary

Occasional on-site welding

Following all OSHA and other safety standards

Working out of town when necessary

Candidates with the following qualifications will be considered:

Experience with Stick, MIG and Oxy/Acetylene

Experience welding steel casing

Valid driver’s license

Must be team oriented

MUST pass a pre-employment drug test and continue to pass ongoing drug and alcohol testing per company policy

The following certifications are preferred, but not required

OSHA 10-hour course training

CDL

Previous construction or underground utility experience

1st Aid / CPR
