As an Inside Sales Associate, you will partner with Outside Sales and be responsible for successfully growing and maintaining customer accounts while developing strong customer relationships to support and promote current and future business.


Primary Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Processing and expediting customer orders in a timely manner. Processing will include receipt of orders by phone, email or fax; providing delivery dates and advising customer of any other issues in regard to the order.
  • Assisting with other customer issues such as sample requests, shipment delivery tracking, return material authorizations (RMA’s), etc.
  • Reviewing open customer order reports and acting on those items that may be at risk in meeting a customer’s delivery date; maintain customer open order and expedite reports.
  • Partnering with Outside Sales to provide customers with superior service ensuring their requirements are met regarding order fulfillment, on-time delivery, responsiveness to phone/email inquiries and positive follow up on all open issues, acting with a sense of urgency when responding to customer needs.
  • Providing technical support to customers; maintaining an appropriate level of technical and industry knowledge of our products, manufacturing processes and operational procedures to ensure professional communication with customers.
  • Preparing various sales activity reports; reviewing sales reports to ensure you’re driving towards attainment of sales productivity metrics.
  • Preparing formal quotations in response to customers request for quote ensuring proper pricing/margin targets are maintained, following up on both customer and vendor quotations.
  • Collaborating with Outside Sales to acquire target customer accounts; assist in driving sales by identifying profitable selling opportunities.
  • Building strong customer relationships. Serving as an advocate for the customer by providing feedback and recommendations. This includes understanding the customer’s industry / business model needs and leveraging this knowledge to maximize sales.
  • Engaging in solution selling to uncover customer needs/problems and working collaboratively with key decision-makers to arrive at mutually agreed upon solutions that will result in measurable improvements.
  • Scheduling and preparing Quarterly Business Review’s (QBR’s) for key, targeted accounts
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Exceptional customer relationship management and communication skills.
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills to effectively manage customer accounts and Outside Sales Representatives.
  • Must be proactive to anticipate needs and have the necessary drive, enthusiasm, and sense of urgency to achieve results.
  • Must be self-directed and able to thrive with limited management direction.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings helpful
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in business related, or technical field is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 – $50,000.00 per year
