JOB PURPOSE

:

Our team of Mechanical, Industrial and Electrical Engineers has over 100 years of combined experience, and they, along with our technicians, welders and fabricators, complete our team of experts in analyzing concept generation, designing, and specifying components for complex systems and then bring them to life through our manufacturing capabilities.

Ceres is looking for a Hydraulic Hose Assembler to build custom hoses to specification. You’ll work directly with customers to determine their hose replacement needs, so strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential. You’ll spend most of your time using various tools and resources that we provide (e.g. hydraulic press, blueprint system, etc.) building custom hoses for heavy equipment machinery. When you’re not building hoses, you’ll be conducting various warehouse duties.

We’re looking for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude, experience using tools and who enjoys problem solving & creating things. We will provide the training necessary for you to be successful at this position, so don’t worry if you don’t have hose building experience.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES

:

Independently performs a variety of standardized operations related to hydraulic hose building; cuts and assembles various hoses and related connectors/couplings using appropriate hose building techniques.

Follows guidelines and procedures for proper setup of each hose assembly; performs setup on special purpose hose assembly machines involving tools selection and calibration.

Applies mechanical knowledge and critical problem-solving skills to determine how to create hoses, what type of hose to create, and how to create a hose build document and bill of materials.

Performs basic assembly/test functions utilizing mechanical skills, hand and power tools, test equipment, assembly fixtures and inspection measurement equipment (i.e. pressure test, saw, hydraulic press, calipers, rulers and height gauge).

Visually inspects finished hoses to ensure they’re build to specification.

Measures hoses to appropriate lengths in centimeters or inches; measures the degree of orientation for appropriate couplings.

Rebuild hoses that have rebuildable components; uses tools to cut off old hose ends and appropriately dispose of waste.

Will perform other duties as required.
