As part of a diverse and hardworking team of Heat Treat Technicians, fabricators, welders and engineers you will set up and operate world-class vacuum thermal processing equipment to produce high-value aerospace components for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of these operations ensuring safety, quality, and productivity. Mechanical aptitude, ability to follow detailed technical instructions and clearly communicate both verbal and written instructions is paramount.
Reading and interpretation of engineering drawings and work instructions, safely operating and “owning” vacuum furnaces including maintenance, and continually looking for improvement opportunities in all that you do.
This position will report to the Weld Shop Supervisor and directly supports our manufacturing integration teams.

High School Diploma or GED.
Self-sufficient with little oversight.

5 years of aerospace thermal processing experience Experience in thermally processing aerospace materials such as stainless steel, copper, nickel and cobalt alloys, and titanium alloys
Familiar with performing furnace preventative maintenance
Self-Motivated with the ability to work within a team environment or independently as required
Ability to climb ladders, stairs, work in small/restricted areas, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to work overtime as required Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Some technical coursework and/or AA technical degree/equivalent.
5+ of aerospace vacuum thermal processing experience
Experience with post process testing such as hardness, alpha case, and mechanical testing Experience working with Materials Engineers to design, test, and document heat treatment and braze processes Experience working with Design Engineers to specify braze joints designs, braze alloy selection (Ni and precious metal base), and process development
Thermal processing binder applied coatings experience
Ability to operate material handling equipment. (forklift, crane, hoist, man lift, etc.)
Work 1st or 2nd shift, as well as weekends and overtime, when necessary.
