Fixture Fabricator Primary Responsibilities:

Support product manufacturing by providing concept and build production and assembly fixtures for new products

Fabricate and weld equipment, tooling, carts, racks, tables

Make repairs and modification to existing equipment for production as directed and test completed assembly for proper operation

Set up and operate machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures and tools.

Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition

Follow all standard operating procedures and established practices and processes

Perform other duties as needed or directed

Hours (subject to change according to needs of ongoing projects):

1st Shift 6AM-2PM, Monday-Friday

Minimum Qualifications:

5+ years in a manufacturing environment

Thorough knowledge of drafting principles, machine shop techniques, and electrical devices

Must be familiar with fabrication and machine shop equipment including saws, MIG welders, drills, mills, laths, shears, press brakes, hand and power tools

Must be able to weld in all positions

Must have the ability to follow manufacturing/equipment specifications, perform basic math calculations, use blueprints and schematics, use a computer, use/understand measuring devices/tolerances.

Knowledge of AutoCAD or Autodesk Inventor is preferred

Able to responsibly manage confidential information

Work Environment:
The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing, or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields.

Physical Demands:
The work requires some physical exertion such as extended periods both indoors and outdoors of remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.
