Responsible for the set-up, lay-out, and tack-up of fire truck cab frame weldments and brackets.

Weld components in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions.

Mig weld aluminum and stainless steel.

Examines weld for bead size and other specifications.

Inspects welded workpieces for defects, such as cracks, cold weld, spatter and undercuts.

Operate hand tools and equipment such as compressed gas cylinders, supported air tools, portable power tools, hand tools, drill presses, power saws, wheeled carts & bins, pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.

Work effectively in a team environment.

Effectively plan, organize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Follow all safety rules, policies and safe work practices.

Welding trade school or apprenticeship training is preferred.
