Who We Want

Spevco is seeking a creative and well-rounded Finish Fabricator. Our trailers and displays are custom-designed and hand-built in-house. We are looking for true craftsmen and we value creativity. Your overall fabrication skills are just as important as your welding skills. While welding will be part of the job, you’ll have the opportunity to do so much more. The ideal candidate will come to us with a strong background and expertise in working with several mediums including steel/aluminum/stainless, wood, laminates, various flooring types, and solid surface materials. Craftsmen from the following roles/industries will be well suited for this role;

RV and Motorcoach Finishers

Marine / Boat Builders

Trade Show Display Builders

Set Builders

Race Shop / Speed Shop Finish Fabricators

Custom Home Finishers

Custom Sign Shop Fabricators

What You’ll Really Be Doing

Spevco’s Finish Fabricators are typically constructing, assembling, and installing custom marketing and product displays, workstations, upper and lower cabinetry, interactive kiosks, and aiding in the finishing process of our trailer by installing flooring, wall panels, and finish trim in Spevco’s one-of-a-kind, custom exhibits, and vehicles. These vehicles support our clients’ marketing, brand activation, training, and disaster relief goals. You will be creating many of the interactive parts of our trailers and all of the finishing touches that our clients have come to expect from Spevco.

Building and installing the displays and interactive components that complete our event vehicles

Installing many of our finish details, including flooring and trim work

Building and installing cabinetry, kiosks, and displays

Fabricating and welding stainless handrails, stair sets, and stair-rails

Always following safety guidelines

Having some fun in the process

What You Get Paid

This position is paid competitively on an hourly basis, and our offer will be determined by your level of experience and expertise.

Nitty Gritty Requirements

Integrity, energy, creativity, and a positive attitude

Critical thinking and using good judgment

Adherence to all Safety Policies

Ability to work with a variety of materials, including; plywood, hardwood, veneers, laminates, edge banding, hinge/latch hardware, plastics (Plexiglas, acrylic, etc), and metals (aluminum, steel, stainless)

Solid welding skills

Ability to read cut lists and engineering drawings for the purpose of cutting, fabricating, and assembling various materials and sub-assemblies

Mechanical abilities; skill in using hand tools, tape measures, table saws, miter saws, drills, grinders, routers, shear, press-brake, welders, cut-off wheels, sanders, caulking guns, etc

Ability to take direction and ask good questions when tasks are unclear

Always communicating with clarity, strong written and verbal communication skills

Willingness to maintain a clean and professional workspace and assist in shop housekeeping as required

Strong safety mindset and willingness to be part of and promote our safety culture

Team player who can also perform without supervision

Physical & Mental Requirements

Must have the physical and mental strength and endurance to be able to perform duties. Required to frequently lift and move 10-75 pounds. Expected to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, talk, hear, smell, see, read, and operate objects, tools, controls.
