Cimarron is seeking Fabrication Specialists to support a large aerospace and defense customer in New Orleans, LA. Although these positions are supporting a 1-year contract, these positions are full-time/benefited (i.e. PTO, 401(k), insurance) positions with Cimarron.
Key Duties

Perform machine set-up, machining, welding set-up, welding, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending, and fabrication tasks.

Perform composite lay-up, fabrication, and assembly tasks.

Assemble precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components.

Assemble, repair, modify, and install various powerplant and drive trains.

Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products.

Assemble and install wire harnesses and avionics products.

Prepare test articles and fixtures.

Collect data on devices to perform various tests.

Perform basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation.

Apply routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements.

Work on articles of limited complexity following established drawings and requirements.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education

3 or more years of related work experience.

Ability to work any shifts assigned.

High School diploma or equivalent.

Desired Skills, Experience, and Education

Experience with orbital tube welding.

Experience with friction stir welding.
