Moore Race Chassis is a small, family-owned and operated business specializing in custom roll cages and chassis work. We strive to provide safe products for our customers. We are seeking an experienced fabricator to add to our team. We have a climate-controlled shop and a great team that’s ready to welcome a new teammate.

Shift: Monday-Friday Day Shift
Preferred Experience:

3+ years of MIG/TIG Welding Experience preferred.

3+ years experience in fabrication

Experience with CAD drawings/designs preferred but we will teach the right candidate

Preference will be given to candidates with prior race industry experience

Responsibilities:

Read CAD designs

Disassemble and reassemble cars

Chassis fabrication

MIG/TIG Welding

Measure, cut, and bend tubing for chassis

Component fabrication

Welding

Notch tubing

Shop organization and cleaning

Operate shop equipment including but not limited to: shears, cold saw, band saw, pipe bender, power tools, welder.

Maintain a safe and clean work environment

Comply with all safety recommendations and use PPE as necessary

Qualifications/Necessary Skills:

Applicants with prior welding experience will be asked to take a welding test

Experience with race cars and race components a plus!

Good understanding of measurements, basic shop math, angles, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals.

Mechanical Aptitude

Experience with power tools

Problem solving skills

Strong sense of ownership of work

Willingness to learn

Good communication skills

Ability to read CAD drawings/designs a plus, but not required. We are willing to teach the right person

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift 50lbs independently

Must be able to stand for extended periods of time

This is a physically demanding position. Candidate must be able to stand, climb, stoop, crawl, sit on the floor, etc.

Pay is based on experience/skill.
