Salary depends on experience. Criteria below:

-Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
-Use measuring tools, calipers and other standard inspection equipment to measure tolerances within 0.010”
-Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions/reference points on material or work piece as guides for subsequent welding.
-Position and clamp metal components for welding without damaging the materials, including complex mitered/compound angles and saddle joints.
-Operate turn table/positioner for continuous OD/ID welding.
-Able to perform fusion weld, fillet welds and butt welds with full penetration in all positions 1-6G.
-Must know the proper weld settings (Fronius and Miller machines) for welding various materials along with filler rod selection
-Must be able to produce food grade, water tight and pressure tested welds in potentially hard-to-reach areas. Be able to produce visually appealing welds in all processes. Must be able to produce these welds in all material thicknesses (as thin as .005” wall and unlimited thick)
-Ability and understanding of how to identify the proper order of operations (identifying the main datum point / sequence of welds)
-Ability to design and utilize custom fixtures (as required) to meet tight tolerance requirements and improve efficiencies on production volume components.
-Communicate all defects and scrap to supervisor
-Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
-Ability to focus attention on details and achieve Excelsior’s and customer’s standards

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

-Demonstrated ability to work safely (wear required PPE), meet quality standards, productivity and follow all company policies
-Demonstrated ability to set-up machines for multiple processes and adjust as necessary to preform required welds while minimizing weld defects and splatter.
-Ability to trouble shoot equipment (welder and hand tools)
-Ability to train coworkers on setups, processes and techniques
-Ability to perform QA checks on parts and assemblies
-Capable of modifying parts and assemblies on the fly to bring within drawing specifications and tolerancing.
-Strong organizational and systematic problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills both verbal and in writing
-Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment with many simultaneous tasks
-Ability to plan, organize, and execute a production plan
-Ability to follow directions from supervisor, work effectively in a team environment and interface effectively with all levels of the organization.
