Manufactures quality steel products in a safe and timely manner by operating various tools and equipment to complete different job functions based on pre-determined schedule.
Advises supervisor of any issues after daily inspections of the equipment are completed.
Maintains a clean, organized, safe work area at all times.
Reads and modifies production drawings and recognizes whether the product is set up properly.
Sets up pre-formed rebar as indicated in the production drawing with correct bill of materials.
Identifies size of mesh, rebar, and/or cages based on rebar/cage drawings.
Sets up pre-formed rebar into jig fixtures for assembly.
Ties/tack welds reinforcing rebar together per specifications with hand tools to ensure reinforced cages for production.
Maintains organized stacks of completed rebar/cages in inventory.
The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated fabricating and welding experience, preferably in manufacturing. Other desired qualifications include:
Ability to read and interpret production drawings.
Proficient in utilizing tape measures and basic hand tools including, but not limited to trowels, hammers, wrenches, chisels, power tools, etc.
