Aluminum Shop Fabricator & Welder

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reports directly to Shop Supervisor/Manager. Responsibilities are:
Reviews and interprets drawings, sketches, verbal, and/or written instructions in the preparation of parts used in the fabrication of complex residential and commercial rail systems
As needed, develop fixturing for production and accuracy of finished product
Required use of up-saws and various hand/electric tools as required
Adherence to all OSHA/MOSH safety rules and regulations
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of six (6) years’ experience fabricating aluminum and stainless steel in a rail and/or metal fabrication facility
Vocational and/or Skilled Trade School Certifications desirable
REQUIRED SKILLS
Interpretations of standard shop fabrication Blueprint and Sketches is a must
Operation of standard fabrication shop equipment, such as vertical and up directional saws, grinders, forklifts, etc.
Knowledge of shop math calculations
ADDITIONAL NOTES
Knowledge of Pipe Bending is preferred but not required
Successful completion of a Welder’s Certification in AWS D1.2 and D1.5 using MIG and TIG processes is a definite plus
$21 – $23 an hour
