Mesabi Range is a progressive, student-focused institution, located in the heart of northeastern Minnesota, preparing diverse learners for fulfilling careers, college transfer, and lives of intellectual curiosity and discovery.

The Entry Level Welding Technology Program is a 33 credit, 2 semester program with a diploma for the successful student graduate. Several welder certifications are also available. The Advanced Level Welding Technology Program is a 65 credit, 4 semester program (including the ELW Program) that is optional upon completion of the Entry Level Program. Its successful completion gives the graduate another diploma. The typical Mesabi Range Welding Technology Program student applicant has had some experience with welding and cutting. However, students that have never welded before have successfully completed this program and have gone on to become certified welders. Both evening and day sections of courses are available to suit the needs of all students.

Grants and scholarship funds in excess of your tuition/fee costs, plus books is taxable income and must be reported on your tax return.
